Rewind back to 13th August 2015, when Evan won the EY Young Entrepreneur Of The Year award for the Eastern States. Then jump forward to the next morning with a slightly sore head – after too many celebratory champagnes and bad dance moves. Can you blame me?! He won! I had my game face on, with two months to find the perfect LBD for the EY Young Entrepreneur Nationals awards on 15th October.
Fast forward to 13th of October. I had just spent the last two months pinning, stalking and everything in between except for pulling together that perfect outfit to compliment my one.
Pulling on my ‘I mean business’ outfit. Converse, ripped boyfriend jeans and a basic Tee, I jumped on the 207 bus into the city with the entire day penciled in to find this winning combo of an outfit.
Going in with an open mind thinking anything will do. I somehow pulled together an outfit. The Dress. Check. Shoes. Check. Bag. Check. Jewelry. Check.
He didn’t win, (although in my eyes he did), we had fun and on the plus side we get to do the EOY event all over again next year as alumni… This time with much less pressure finding that winning dress.
