I still remember the first time we walked through Shoreditch. It was a Sunday afternoon – with heavy rain and not a sole in sight. We were a little to cool for our own good… Looking for anything that resembled an umbrella and an espresso martini.
Three years later, I’ve been here more times than I can count and found all the notable hangouts with Instagrammable dishes and trustworthy Wi-Fi.
Ace Hotel – you’ll find me in the lobby with my laptop and a hot chocolate or wearing a low cut top and a red wine #bothworkdependingonthehour
Friends Of Ours – for a brunch that is so good looking, you’ll sit there thinking you’re back in Sydney.
Cream – ordering expensive breakfasts that keep you coming back…. because they do the best-smashed avocado in Shoreditch.
Shoreditch House –that night I accidentally ordered a 130 pound John Dory #whoops
Barbour & Parlour – a café that basically encourages you to list them as your mailing address, plus you can watch boyfriend get a shave.
Shoreditch Grind – where I found that Espresso Martini all those years ago… Plus great smashed avocado on toast.
O-Zone – not only do they roast their own coffee onsite, but you can also sit up at the bar watching the chefs whilst working on your emails and master chef skills.
Counter Albion – if you feel like being productive with an apple tart.
