I’ve just flew out of Perth, I have been doing so much international travel of late… It was quite refreshing to do some travel in my own back yard.
I love to jump on travel opportunities, like this recent Perth trip. Wes, Jessie and myself planned the trip around our good friend Angeline Lloyd charity event – The Love Thread.
As I do with most cities I visit, I Google and stalk local bloggers Instagrams for the ‘hot’ and ‘must visit’ restaurants that I must check out whilst in town. High up on the list in Perth was ChopHouse.
As always I started with a red… A glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from Margaret River
For starters we shared Moroccan Lentil & Black Bean Fritters, Pan fried prawns and calamari and the charred broccolini salad with a poached egg. If you were following along on snapchat you would have seen the fun we had mixing the egg in…
We had lots to catch up on, Jessie had just jumped off a plane from Bali and had some fun stories to tell.
Chophouse just as the name suggests is a fairly meaty affair, so obviously we order meat. The special of the day wasn’t just any steak, but a 600gm rib eye steak served with a shellfish bisque butter. It was a little meatier than I prefer, but the other two loved it.
We also shared the slow roasted pork shoulder… The apple sauce needs special mention. With sides of greens and potato puree.
Celebrating start of our Perth adventure we finished off with not just one dessert but three… Slowly Jessie and Wes are turning me into a dessert girl, or maybe it was the popcorn brittle semifreddo (A MUST ORDER!!!)
Thank you ChopHouse for starting off our Perth getaway in the best way possible… eating. I’ll definitely be checking out ChopHouse Sydney on return home.
