A Day At The Races

It’s that time of year again… Spring racing season is here, and each year we are faced with the same dilemma.

What to wear to the Spring Races?

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I attended a lunch at Randwick Racecourse for Chelmsford Stakes Day. As soon as the invitation came in, we both started throwing around the same sorts of questions everyone asks themselves before attending a Spring Racing event.

Both girls and guys are faced with the same predicament…

What colour should my dress be? Can I wear black? Do I need to wear a tie? Will my navy blue suit go with these shoes? Should I wear a fascinator? What heels should I hear? And the list goes on….

The races is one of the best excuses we all have to play dress ups, and there is no better time to splurge on a new dress than during spring. However knowing what to wear is something that plays on everyone’s mind – which is why theraces.com.au was born.

TheRaces.com.au was launched by the ATC last Wednesday night. Edited by Andera Hetherington, the races.com.au will act as an online destination celebrating the lifestyle elements of the races – fashion, beauty and food.

Between the champagne sipping, air kisses, outfit crushing, snapchatting (and now posting to Instagram stories) we found time to place a few bets and watch a race or two.

For my first racing event of the season I wore a LBD with a low scoop back from Fame And Partners, and to complement my look I choose a head piece designed by milliner Studio Aniss.
