“In the end… We only regret the chances we didn’t take, the relationships we were afraid to have” and the long lunches we couldn’t take.

Not so long ago, Zomato invited me to Otto Ristorante, to experience their new summer menu.

Woolloomooloo is one of my favourite dining precincts in Sydney; you’ll quite often find me here for special occasions or just because. There is nothing quite like sitting on the wharf in the afternoon soaking up the gorgeous postcard view with a wine in hand, devouring yummy food over great conversations.

I invited Jessie and Wes along with me, to experience this long lunch affair with me.

We started things off with a couple of antipasto dishes. The Cantalupo – A colourful dish of San Daniele Prosciutto, Burrata and rockmelon – I am sure the chef designed this dish especially for Instagram. And Calamari Fritt – when dining out with my We Ate That Crew, salt and pepper squid is always ordered.

In the lead up to our booking Wes couldn’t stop talking about Otto’s Lobster Pasta special he’d had a few months back, it was obviously our lucky day. The Lobster Spaghetti with cherry tomatoes, napoletana sauce, chilli, garlic, white wine and brandy was on the menu. It is a definite treat and one of those bucket list dishes, everyone needs to check off.

Our second main is equally worth a mention – A 1.5kg smokey rib eye. A tender and flavoursome steak, served with a #AlwaysWithASideOfFries, Insalata di Rucola and Caprese.
